firstly appologese if this is wrong forum but there isn;t a forum that I spotted thats for dealin with subtitles.
anyway onto what I'm posting for.
anyone know how I can get the permant subtitles from The Two Towers when they speak the elvish language I have done a rip to hard drive of the movie and done a demux of all subtitle streams available but I end up with all but the subtitle stream that u see in the movie when they speak elvish. What I've done is encode the two towers to kdvd as 2 titles so to fit the movie onto one dvd to save the whole palarver of gettin up and changin discs, I managed to get the subtitle stream, with fellowship of the ring but that same stream doesn't seem to be demuxable in the two towers.

It sounds like whatever process you used knackered up the CLOSED CAPTION or FORCED SUBTITLE (depends on your application what the relevant stream was listed at).
We will need a bit more information on your process to advise further. -
ok, used dvd decrypter and decrypted as one vob file ran that through vob edit and chose demux and ticked "demux all subp streams" it outputted 5 subtitle streams and they were the normal every thing sad subtitles, and 4 subtitle streams for the director comentary sayin whos speakin. I even used demux in dvd decrypter and got the same subtitle streams.
