I made a VCD usimg VCDEasy, and then i burnt a copy, then accidentally screwed it up and now i need to use roxio's disc copier to get more copies. Is there a way to copy my VCD into an image file on my hard drive, so i don't need to go get my VCD and copy it to make more copies?

I meant that i messed up the image file, and can't get it back to how it was when i made the original VCD. I have a copy on the disk, and want to turn it into an image file on my PC. as if i had deleted the old one, i just want to not have to use roxio's disk copier every time i need to make a new copy.

What ZippyP is suggesting will create a new image of your existing VCD. That's what you want, correct?

I've been able to copy VCD or SVCD's with any regular cd copying program. Typically I use CloneCD, which has an option to create an image from the disc. Tell the software that it's a data disc, and it'll create an image for you. Some other cd burning programs have the option to burn to an image instead of a disc, maybe you could try copying it that way. AKAIK, vcd's or svcd's are simple data cd's, with a specific organization and structure readable by dvd players.

I feel humbled. I did not know about the mode 1/2 difference - but have always wondered why I could get so much data on a vcd!

Humbled? Imagine how I felt a couple of years ago when I discovered the same thing. I knew very little about SVCD's and I even bought a few 99 minute CD's because I was convinced that I could not fit a 800mb SVCD mpeg on a 80 minute CD. :P
