    Hi,

    i want to know if dvd-recorders use a different foramt like DVD-Roms.
    My DVD-Rom can't read a recorded DVD from the DVD-Recorder.
    Why?

    Just like some DVD players will not read DVDr media, or have difficulty doings so, the same is true of DVD-Roms. Especially older ones but some newer ones too.

    is this a panasonic dvd recorder? If so, (I have had the e20 and e30) and a lot of players will NOT play a dvd recorded from the panny. What you'll need to do is run it through an application like tmpgenc dvd author and reauthor the dvd and reburn and then it will work.

    Look for posts by don pedro. He has discussed this issue at length.

    what recorder? what media? what dvd player? give us some specs, youll get answer sooner.
