Okie Dokie...
I am not really a newbie, but I am stuck here !!!
I have 22min episodes that are encoded in Divx and the resolution is 480x360. I want to make them DVD compliant. I have been trying to convert them into DVD compliant, the 720x480 ( i think that's it?) and I am using the latest version of TmpgEnc and after it is completed, I will play the .mpg file and it will play fine til about half way thru the file, the video will freeze, but the audio will keep playing ?
What in the world is going on here ? What can I do to fix this problem. I have done this with 3 different .avi's and they all do it.
Would the file being OpenDML make anything difficult ??

Did you scan the file for bad frames? See the link below.

Sudden loss of sync or blank video is a classic bad frames problem. There can still be bad frames that Vdud doesn't detect. Play the avi and look carefully at the point where the sound goes out of sync on the mpeg. Any blocks or other bad video noticed? If there is then you need to edit out that part of the video. Vdub can do that, look in the "Edit" section for a guide to editting with Vdub. That's all I can suggest.
