  1. I have this player and i'm getting some problems with my DVD-R... I just capture my home made VHS vídeos with my DC10+ capture card and then i encode the MJPEG AVI with TMPGEnc and then i author and burn with Pinnacle Express... My DVD-Rs are playing in any DVD players that i can try but my DV-P2100...

This player is just great in compatibility with almost all media contents i tryed till this bad experience with DVD-R... Plays VCDs, SVCDs, MP3, in both CD-R and CD-RW.

The most weird thing is that i have a friend with the same DVD player and his one plays DVD-R just fine... And THE WEIRDEST: my player could run a DVD-R just once!!!!! In one of my trys it played fine. The menu worked perfectly, the video played perfectly, but after this unique experience a got nothing!!! This happened using the same encode-authoring-burning methods...

I was wondering about firmware changing or something like optical unity calibration...

Any of you guys can help me with this misery?????

  2. Hi Ticiano,

I think you are in Brasil (like me). You said you captured your VHS videos with a DC-10 Plus.
My question is: when playing your videos to capture, your video k7 should send your movies in Pal_M. And I think your capture card DC-10 capture only NTSC. How do you capture your movies to get them on the right colors?
I have an MSI FX 5200 VTD. It captures my VHS videos, but only in black@white. What could I do?

    Thanks,

  3. I'm in brasil but my VCR can output in NTSC without problem. In your case you'll need a transcoder.

  4. I have the same problem, my Philco DVP-2100 doesn't play my DVD made from home videos, but plays ok my cloded DVD.
So the people on this forum said: try to change the dvd media or the convert method.
What media do you use and the method?
