Hi Folks Newbie here,
I am sending DVDR disks in PAL format over to a friend in the US of A.
Now he has a DVD player which will switch to play from NTSC to PAL
format and vise verse.
The problem is his TV is the NTSC format, choosing PAL format will it
play back on his TV ? the DVDR disks are region free.
If they will not play back can any one suggest software to convert ?
Many thanks
Mack.......

It depends on the player. Many DVD players will play both NTSC and PAL, but a lot of them will send a PAL disc to the TV as a PAL signal which won't work on most US TVs. Some players will do a PAL to NTSC conversion on the fly when you play the disc, though.
