    hi natoya!

i don't have sky but have a freeview box connected to my dvdr70.
connect the scart lead to the scart socket on the skybox that has RGB on it and the other end to EXT2 on the dvdr70.
hook a second scart from EXT1 on the dvdr70 to the tv.
use the up/down buttons on the remote to select EXT2 and you should see your sky channels.
    press record!

Not sure what you mean by ex2 is harder to go in. Ignore all the stuff about Decoders on Page24 of the user manual - it doesn't apply to the Sky Box. EX1 is the scart socket that features easylink (transfers data from TV back to the DVDR70). It's mainly used as an OUTPUT to your TV. Can be used as a video input too - but only for Composite Video which is poorer quality than RGB. (And then you'd need a scart splitter or use the separate video out sockets to connect your TV.)

Just to re-state what Arthur has said.

    1. You need to connect a Scart lead to the TV OUT (not VIDEO) on your Sky box.
    2. Plug the other end into the EXT2 on your DVDR70
    3. Use another Scart Lead to connect the EXT1 on your DVDR70 to your TV.

You will now be able to record from Sky in RGB mode (good quality). When the DVDR70 is switched off the signal from your Sky box will be sent through to your TV automatically. When the DVDR70 is on, to select Sky as the recording input just press MONITOR on the remote and use the channel up/down buttons to choose EXT2. You'll have to set the channel on the Sky box yourself as the DVDR70 can't do that itself.

Oh. And if you don't get a signal when you press monitor and select EXT2 - make sure that your EXT2 socket is set up for RGB and not S-Video. It should be RGB by default. Look at page 68/69 in the manual under User Preferences for info. (Picture Settings>Scart Video)
