  1. Ok, i will try to explain in my bad english.

I been trying to convert a vhs tape to mpeg (svcd), the tools i use is:
    VirtualVCR, Tmpegenc/Virtualdub and EasyVCD.

    The computer iīm using is:
    Amd XP2200+
    768 ddr
    2x120 gb
    GeFroce 4 Ti4600 128mb

Evertning gose well to the point when playning it on the tv.
The picture looks "pixly" donīt really know how to explain...
What is the best way to make a good vhs rip?
Or is it my Geforce-card that sucks when capturing?

    Please give me some advise...

    Thax!

You'll need to list what settings you use during capture and encoding first.
Such as what codec you use, what resolution etc.
Oh, and change your subject title to something more appropriate...
...."poor quality/pixellated after VHS capture" would be better.

    Ok, sorry about that.
I capture to 720x576 (Pal) i code it whit morgan mjpeg under capture.

Then i start a frameserv whit virtualdub.. and one smooth filter (donīt remember the name of it).
Tmpeg 480x576 (svcd) whit some clip frame.
I use CBR 2000 or 2100, DC component precision: 10 bits, Motion search precision: high quality.

The rest of the settings are default.

The movie looks ok on the computer but not on the tv.

    Something i forgot?

    Thax!

Try capturing with 576 pixels vertical resolution instead of 567.

When you say it's not right, is it shimmering, shaking slightly?
