  1. only with certain movies, i get an error message when it is in the analyzing mode. it says something about redundant read failure. is this an encryption that the producers put on the disk to keep you from burning it? if so, is there any way around it?
or am i doing something wrong? other movies work fine but i've ran into this problm twice.

  5. when i try to open the movie with dvd shrink, it first goes through an analyzing process. during this process it gives a redundant file read error or something like that. THIS IS NOT DURING THE BURN PROCESS, it happens when dvd shrink is trying to open it.

Try ripping the DVD with DVDDecrypter first. Then use Shrink to open up the files. I bet this works for you.

  7. davidswren, try cleaning your disk. There may be some gunk on it giving you a CRC error when reading it. If this is the case, Decrypter may not like it either.
