    Hi all
i am having major problems with my leadtek tv2000xp delux. it has been working fine for a whil now, and all of a sudden windows cannot detect it. it keeps on coming up with the new hardware wizard and when i re install the drivers it still doesnt see it. i have installed the drivers 3 times now and still its not working. is it possible that the card is faulty. i have had it for just under a year now which is good as i can still take it back under warrenty. if i change it to another pci slot may that help. i am really at a loss here and need some help. i have just did a fresh install of windows about a month ago and everything installed fine then but now it doesnt want to work.

    Thanks

the biggest problem I ever had with a Leadtek TV card was that it wouldn't seem to stay seated in the PCI slot. If I ever connected a cable or coax to the card, it moved the card enough to dislocate it from the rear of the PCI slot enough to cause problems. Usually the same ones you just mentioned. It will look like the back of the card is seated, but a little pressure on the back would re-seat it again. Hopefully that is all that is wrong.
    Hope this helps....

If it was working fine and isn't working now, I would lean towards returning it. The fact that its no longer recognized by windows is quite strange.

still no go. i have been asking the IT guy here at work about it and he gave me a few suggestions, but he thinks it is a software issue as opposed to the card being faulty. does anyone have any suggestions as well.
the problem is that when windows starts up it detects the card as new hardware( it isnt, it has been in the computer for a while) you then try and install the drivers for it using the new hardwar wizard and it cannot detect the drivers.
i have tried re installing the drivers several time but still no go. i have moved it to a different pci slot, still no go. i have uninstalled the hardware in device manager, rebooted and tried to install the drivers again. still no go.
tonight i will try re installing windows and if that doesnt work format and reinstall windows (i only did this a couple of weeks ago).

does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Thanks
