  1. Reason im asking is because i downloaded an iso and upon examining it in winrar, it just has a VIDEO_TS folder. Will it burn correctly or should i extract all the information then just use nero and make a "dvd video" that way?

I think the need for an AUDIO_TS dir is really just a myth. At least half of the commercial DVDs I own don't have an AUDIO_TS dir. I can't see how they can do this if there is even one DVD player on the market which requires this directory.

Not sure but if I remember correctly the AUDIO_TS folder was originally put there for future purposes of adding extra audio stuff to a dvd. Evidently this never happened.

The Audio_ts directory is used for DVD-Audio disks. They are just a supported format under the DVD specification. They allow you to have multichannel audio and I assume provide certain other benefits that you can't get just may making an audio only DVD. I don't know, the DVD-Audio format never really took off that much but there are some great titles available. The AUDIO_TS dir is certainly used, but as far as I know it is only used by DVD-Audio capable players while playing DVD-Audio disks, so there is probably no requirement that the directory exist under any other circumstance.
