    you might also try Media Player Classic ... it's reputed to be "cleaner and more simple to use" vs wmp9...

  3. I can't get that nasty MPEG2 Codec to work worth a crap for me. won't open most files and the ones that it does freeze or don't seek. Instead download and install the demo version of Power DVD and the latest Media Player Classic. the Demo is severly limited so don't use it, but the Codec it installs is fully functional. use MPC to play the DVD with Power DVDs codec. works wonderfully.
