    wuts the differnce in AC3 5.1-ch english and AC-3 2-ch english and DTS 5.1ch english??


    i have gladiator in and i dont know what ones are better??

  2. DTS is better, but you have to have a DVD player and receiver to decode the DTS signal for it to be of any use.

    Then it would be the AC3 5.1, followed by the AC3 2 channel.

    so i should use the DTS and the AC3 5.1????????

    cause if i upgrade my home stereo?

    AC3 5.1 is 6 channel dolby surround, AC3 2-channel is stereo dolby.

    You need a decoder for the full effect of DTS or AC3 5.1. If you don't have the decoder for AC3 5.1 it will be downsampled to stereo anyway. I say go AC3 5.1 now and if you upgrade your stereo later you're in good shape.

    yeah but the better you make the sound the more it has to compress the video correct???

  6. yes and that's why you probably only want to keep the DD 5.1 and not both that and the DTS. It's hard to tell a difference between the two.

  7. and the DD 5.1 will play in stereo if you don't have a surround system, while the dts won't.
