I'm approaching to digital photography and I'm looking for a procedure than permits me to look my digital shots on my TV.
My DVD player recognise also VCD and SVCD but not JPEG directly.
I'm evaluating different authoring sw in order to create VCD and SVCD, but before also purchasing a DVD recorder for my computer I'd like to post some questions.
If I well understood there are two ways to put still images on digital support: MPEG2 video format (PictureShow, ProShowGold...) and MPEG2 still image format (VCDEasy); using MPGEG2 video I can have transition effects, sound background but little interactivity and lower quality, on the other side MPEG2 still images permits more interactivity and better quality.
Is it correct this difference regarding quality between these two approaches?
Could have MPGE2 still images a better quality due to the fact that the image is 'still'?
Which are the benefits I will get if I would use a DVD support?
Can I put MPEG2 still images on DVD or the authoring DVD sw permit only to transfer MPGE2 video on DVD?
Could be the quality better or will I have simple more space on the disc?
In practice, is it worth to move to DVD support with respect SVCD if I would like only to improve quality of still images?
Thanks
