Question for NERO6 who can help???

Hello all,

I am using Nero6 to burn my DVD-R's
I choose DVD Video in Nero.
My media's are Princo's 4x
I shrink using DVD Shrink3
My burner is a Sony DW-U10a +/-R

When the burn process is fineshed i get the following msg. from Nero:
Burn process strated at 4x etc. INSTEAD of Burn process fineshed succesfully.

I DO NOT get this all the time.
Why do i get this msg.?

What i do know is that when this happens the burn process takes longer +/- 30min instead of the usual 15min at 4x.

Just sounds something keep draining your burner so it takes it longer to burn the DVD. Also you should upgrade your Media, Princo is not that good....

In other words you are burning at 2X rather than at 4X. I would suggest that this is media related since the burner is having trouble burning at full rated speed so it is dropping back to a slower speed and finding the discs will accept that speed continuing the burn at the slower speed.

Quite honestly I would dump the Princo's as they are hopeless, and try something better like the Ritek discs. You'll have a whole lot less trouble.
