  1. Hi, are there any programs that provide a free mpeg2 licence please?

I have successfuly burnt vcd, svcd & dvd from various video sources, using various programs & DVDRhelp.com.

The best results were with TMPGEnc.

NeoDVD came with my dvd rewriter (which I thought would 'give' me the mpeg2 licence) but its output seems to be the same quality as vcd output using TMPGEnc.

I have read lots on this subject, my conclusion being I'm going to have to buy the licence. Seeing as cash is a problem (since my wife booted me out & cleaned me out... too much detail...) I was hoping to get it for free, or go about it in a different way.

I am trying to put some cam-corder footage onto dvd without loosing too much quality (vcd isn't good enough) & the original captured file is too big to be keeping on my pc.

    Thanks in advance
