I have searched extensively and found several threads about this. I have tried the solutions offered and still can't get it to work. I have used DVD Shrink 3 Beta to reauthor the disk and burned using my Sony DRU 500a to +RW, there are always dodgy errors usually about the disc quality but all other movies burn fine to these disks.
    Please help.

No issues backing it up with Shrink. 3 times in fact since my youngest keeps dropping the disk on the floor.....sigh.

  4. I have tried to copy my Nemo DVD twice and failed both times. I am using DVDBackup for the process. I have successfully used this on another movie and it did just fine. Does anyone have an answer as to why this one is different?

I did a 2 DVD disc back-up using DVD2ONE to do just the MAIN MOVIE with the 5.1 ENGLISH Dolby Digital track.

    Guess what? No compression needed.

The second disc was done with DVDShrink using the STILL IMAGE option for the main movie and also removing all subtitle and audio tracks for the main movie.

This allowed this version to be compression free allowing me to have full menu access for all the extras including the hidden features and the aquarium screen options (pretty kewl).

Both play back absolutely fine on my DVD player

My initial optimism was short lived, the film was fine until about the last 20 mins and then the audio and video just kept pausing.
