Ahhh! these things can put a man to a hospital...![]()
Please help me if U can. I'm doing something wrong when trying to make a backup of a DVD. I want to have an SVCD backup.
I have used the guides here and at doom9 to get the settings correct and everything looks correct. I'm using tmpgenc as encoder.
My VOBS looks like they should. But the files created after the VOBS looks like ... no good at all. They are almost black and white and have bars all over.
VOBS: OK
.mpv: Not ok
bbMPEG files: Not ok.
svcd files: Not ok
So the error starts right after the vobs are done. Is it then DVD2AVI that is the probl? I don't now. Look at my pics and please help.

hmm i was changing something. I had forget that I had an older version of tmpgenc installed, so the new version i installed was not read into DVD2SVCD correctly instead it used the old installed version. So I closed dvd2svcd renamed the tmpgenc folders so that I forced dvd2svcd to use the new installed version and went on.... Is that the probl then U think?
I have now uninstalled both tmpgenc and reinstalled the new one. I have also changed dvd2svcds .ini file so that the path to the new installed ver is correct.
... trying to find a solution here
If I now delete all files except the VOBfiles and the ??? files can I do a crash recovery from where?

Best to start from scratch or you might get errors from the previous config.Nuke all the files except the ones you need to start with.

I'm giving up.
Reinstalled tmpgenc. Deleted all files from the project. Started all over.
And now look ... the same thing happens again when tmpgenc starts it's job..... This is a sreencapt from the ongoing process:
The ripped VOBS are still okey. I can play them in PowerDVD and they look as they should.
Anyone knows whats wrong??? -
Try uninstalling DVD2SVCD and delete all files and subdirectories from the install directory. Try a fresh re-install and see what happens. Be sure to select only AVISynth 2.08 as it is the most compatible.
If that does not work, try using DVD2AVI or VirtualDubMod to framserve to TMPGEnc and by-pass DVD2SVCD for testing purposes. This will determine if it is TMPGEnc related or DVD2SVCD related.
