I'm trying, for the first time, to convert video that I captured with a PVR-250 in DVD format into SVCD format. I know, I know, why didn't I just capture it in the proper format. I have the default settings set to capture in DVD format so I can make a DVD later. I just want to know the best way to do this. Open to any suggestions. I'm having trouble w/ TMPGEnc. It says my video file is un-supported.

You can convert your mpeg2 file into a format that TMPGEnc will accept using Virtualdub-mod. It's best to frameserve it, here's a frameserving guide.
