  2. I don't understand what you're asking.

are you asking what program you need to burn the files to a dvd-r?
or are you asking what type of disks you need to use to burn the files?

there were some free suggestions above already which work great ... but i'll add , if record now dx doesnt see your files -- something sure is wrong ...

  9. Thanks guy's

dvd shrink is a breeze it took me about 2 trys to get my first burn right but so for i have backed up lionking 1 1/2, terminator 3, and XXX road trip. To get them to fit i just compress the munu's and the extra's to about 9 then the movie at about 2 or just re-author the main movie, WORKS GREAT. I'm sure i will have more questions in the near future ,it looks a little more complicated when you get into vcd, divix etc. but thanks for helping me get on my way

If you use DVDshrink 3.1.4 below you need to create AUDIO_TS folder just incase some older standalone player won't play..otherwise version 3.1.4 will automatically created both AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders. Btw, RecordNow should be fine..I rather have novice users use RecordNow over Nero it's simple. Nero is too complicated to beginners..besides Nero is a memory & system hoggers.

  11. That's exactly what i did i just created an audio and video ts in my movies folder and away it went. Doing all the extra steps to edit it were all straight foward and easy cause i actually do read the instructions and they work on all of my players. Now i just need how to figure out how to make my O.S. recognize more than just 4GB on my 80GB on my second seagate H.D. so i can start storing my files on a clean drive to save a few time consuming steps.

    BTW
Does anybody know or is there such a thing that will either decrypt and burn, or maybe search out the key for cd software i have heard of such things but can not find them, and i have searched for a specific forum for this question but can not find one.

search out the key for cd software
The legality of such business aside, it's a little out of the scope for this site. You should check out www.gamecopyworld.com for games backup related issues.

  13. Ok thanks for the info

As for the software I did not mean anything illegal,i bought it about 4 years ago and have changed computers since then and want to reinstall it and realizedi dont have the key anymore . It's not even a game it'a an industrial machine controll software and i was giong to use it to install alarm systems for new houses. Using PLC'S is a lot more flexable than the likes of ADT and other brands and is a lot more reliable. The alarm can be reset by simply putting your key in the lock of these new hightech door locks or simply by turning on a dummy light switch or even voice activation.
I just need to get it up and running again
