i have tried using many programs for converting dvd to mpeg , all the softwares takes more time and the video audio quality is not as per the dvd can anyone help to get a good conversion tool which takes less time in converting with better quality than others either paid one or freeware..

The DVD VOB files consist mostly of a MPG2 video track, so you only have to demux it to get a perfect quality mpg. There are many tools for this, but ReJig is one of them, that can concatenate a bunch of VOBs and extract (and transcode) it to one m2v.
