I tried capturing using the standard vcd templates of moviestar5 that came with the dazzle dvc-150 and the results are very BAD. Then I tried to follow the instructions under this link in the webpage, but there is no option to select manual settings as per the instructions. Can anyone helpme in making manual settings in moviestar5 for dazzle dvc-150??

That's probably because Dazzle products are ver BAD, that's why they just sold out to Pinnacle. I'd get a real capture card and software and you won't have any problems. Vegas Video 4 and a Canopus ACEDVio card.

Is there any Ulead Video editing software, has capability to capture the video thru DVC-150?
thanks, -
Hi there,
I suggest you use "DVXCEL.EXE" for capture. This little tool is included with the drivers (Version 3.40 if I remember correctly).
This gives you .MPG files with LPCM sound which can be edited / authored with many programs. I use Ulead Move factory 2, its now enough for me.
To my opinion after testing 7 cards / external boards the dvc150 with DVXCEL has excellent quality at DVD resolutions. But forget MovieStar.
