  1. Hi!

Can anyone recommend a software which will let me burn svcd files on a dvd-r and then make them playable on a dvd standalone.
I've tried svcd2dvd, but I would like to try another one?

It's not hard - just demux, then change the resolution info in the m2v header to read 720*576/480. Convert mp2 audio to wav, resample audio to 48kHz. (and encode to DVD audio specs if you don't want to keep WAV audio) Author as DVD.

  4. Hi!

    Thanks for your help(again)!
I'm sure it's easy what you just mentioned, but it's all Greek to a newbie like me. I would appreciate some kind of software which would do the whole job for me.
I tried svcd2mpg and followed the guide on the download site. When I played the dvd with the creeated dvdsvcd files on it on my standalone dvd the picture seemed great, but there was no audio. Any idea what may have happened?

  5. All you need is an authoring app like DVDLab or TMPGEnc DVD Author to do this. You can load each film as it's own track, make a little menu, and then output it to DVD format to be burned with whatever you use to burn your DVD's. This is definately the most user friendly means of accomplishing your goal. TMPGEnc has a free trial that you may want to check out.

  6. You do realise tha SVCD video and audio is NOT DVD complinat. If you can manage to get it onto a DVD-Video, there is no guarantee that any particular DVD player will handle it properly.

    Just a heads up.
