  1. You would never believe!
I have 2 computers linked together in a network. One I use to download files and second to convert them .I downloaded a Divx file and on first comp its looks fine on my Media Player, video and audio in sinc. But when I transfer that file to second comp I have problem with audio sinc. And even video resolution is changed; it’s smaller in Media Player! Does anybody know what is wrong here?
    Thanks. For_4

More than likely different codecs are being used to do the decompressing. ie.. xvid vs divx or even different versions of the divx codec.

Another possibility is one pc has an intermediary filter installed like the ffdshow or g400.

Are the players the same versions and are the options set the same eg... is hardware acceleration on on one machine but not the other?

What type of video card on the out of synch pc?

Another possibility is background activity on one machine bogging down the player.

Just what I could think of, off the cuff.
