  1. Hi,

I just burned some data to a DVD (a load of DivX files) and when I put the disc into a DVD-ROM drive, it can't mount it (but makes a lot of seeking noise trying to read it), and the DVD burner can mount it but can't see the files I put on.

I burned with Nero and a Pioneer 106 DVD+/- RW drive. The media is Bulkpaq DVD-R. I burned at 4x, which the media is rated at. I have successfully burned with this media and drive before.

Is there any hope of rescuing the data, or is it just a bad burn? If so, how can I prevent this from happening again?

    Thanks in advance,

  4. You'd need more than KY Stiltman - it's Bulkpaq media!

No, I didn't finalise the disc which was the problem. Nero assured me that it'd be OK but it wasn't. Never trust Nero!

    Happy New Year!
