  1. Which would be a better quality bang for the buck?

    advc-300
    or
advc-100 with a avt 8710 (I think is the correct name) TBC

How would you spend your money?

  2. Why would you think you would need a tbc? I've been using an advc100 for a year on both video tape and cable tv broadcasts for a year now and have never felt the need for a tbc.
However, if you feel the need, I think you'll find the 100 with the tbc is cheaper. Nyah Levi

I'm debating the same thing, though its between an ADVC-300 and a DV Storm 2 (which is much more expensive).

I have a higher end JVC-9900 (I think thats the number) and a JVC-7900 with TBC and digital noise reduction, but I read a post from Lordsmurf that states if you stack TBC it cleans up the image from VHS tapes.

So, for my liking, I'm thinking it will come down to cost.

My question is, will this cause much of a strain on the CPU for either of the ADVCs or for the DV Storm 2 cards?
