Hey everyone,
I was wondernig what you guys thought about this:
I got a DVD+/-Rw drive, the Lite On 411s, and it was working fine up until about 2 weeks ago. I could copy an image (iso) burn it onto a dvd-r (memorex) and then it would work. Same with Data CDs/DVDs. Now.. I can't seem to make a DVD that works properly. I've tested them with DAEMON-Tools on my HD (success), but when i put it onto a DVD..nothing...well its something, but then after about 3/4 of the way in, it freezes. Audio CD-S don't burn correctly. SAme thing with DATA CDs. I've gone back to Using Nero 6.0...still no luck...DVD decrypter..no luck.
Even when I burn a DAta CD with the lite-on and have that drive read the cd... it has hard time reading it. So much for burning at 40x. I've FLashed the Lite-on to FS0F, which seems to be the best one out there...nothing.
I just went back and used my RELIABLE HP cd writer.
80Bucks...I guess you get what you pay for eh? I KNEW it was too good to be true... Is my drive DEAD after 10 burns?

Possible causes ( I think)
Conflicting Drivers for burning programs?
IDE config? (BUt it was working when I first installed it)
Bad media batch?
Crappy Burner Device.
