  1. I just got a pack of DVD+Rs to burn with my HP 300i burner, and found that they wont play on my Apex AD1200...

Anybody know any brands that are more reliable before i shell out another $15 for some DVD+Rs and find out they dont work?

Well, how about the brand od dvd+R that you bought? You never named it. The apex 1200 will play +R discs, and the HP will burn them, so its either a disc problem (unlikely if more than one or two wont play) or an authoring problem(most likely)

  3. They were memorex DVD+Rs...

But I got them to work.. I just had to change the bitsetting to DVD-ROM for DVD+Rs...

Would setting both DVD+Rs and DVD+RW's to DVD-Roms give both the most compatibility as almost all DVD drives (standalone or computer)?
