I have an AverMedia Analog Capture PCI card. I have used it before and it works ok and is bundled with NeoDVD Standard Version 4. I have captured video off of my analog video camera and also from the output of one of my VCR's. I took a couple of my VHS videos a few months back and made DVD's out of them and I stopped because about every 20 minutes on the completed DVD there was a loud audio pop. Mostly, the NeDVDStandard only let you select a maximum of dividing into 6 chapters which was why I really stopped using it because the VHS tapes I converted to DVD wouldn't let you fast forward past 2X even if the DVD player had 2X,4X,6X,or even 8X without going back to the menu. - - Anyway, now to a very confusing question. I had only a 30 minute VHS-C Xmas tape I wanted to put on CD. When I captured the tape from my analog camcrder it looked fine on screen and was playing correct speed, but when I play the captured file back through (mpeg file) any player or DVD it plays exactly twice the normal speed. So, I then used a VCR player to capture the tape and it also gave the same result. Something is really weird here, I even deleted the software through windows add/remove and re-installed and same thing. It must be something else like in the registry such as a value or something. Any help appreciated. The only thing I have done with my computer since everything worked fine was to install Direct X version 9 because I had Direct X 8. But I de-installed version 9 and re-installed 8 but that didn't do it.
