  1. First, I apologize if this question has been submitted by other but after quite a bit of time searching this excellent site I still can't find a FAQ or guide for the complete right of the box Newbie like myself. I thought I knew where to start until my first 3 DVD's could be read on a home theater system but not on our portable DVD player (Polaroid PDV0700). The portable player does not list DVD+R compatibility but I thought you could burn DVD's like CDR's so they could read on any player like a store bought DVD. I can't figure it out.

I'm capturing my home VHS tapes through a Dazzle 80 capture device then writing them back to a DVD. I have a Plextor 504 DVD writer and trying to use Pinnacle Studio 8 to burn the CD.

I'm PC literate a quick step by step or a link to a "how to" on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Bob McConnell

Can't be done - if the player can't read +R then it can't read +R no matter what you do to it.
