  1. Well, dont know how to say this, but somehow my ac3 soundsfiles have changed!
When I opened on explorer. look at my .ac3 soundsfile and in "type" column, it displayed as Moviefile (MPEG)?

I can say it wasn't so before, before it display as AC3 in type column and somehow it have changed to MPEG now.

I have tried open GraphEdit and looked at my Directshow filters and I found these:

AC3 from AVI XForm - C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MPGAUDIO.AX (it was in big letter)

    AC3 Parser Filter - C:WINDOWS\system32\mpg2splt.ax

    AC3 Source Filter - C:Program\Creative\ShareDLL\AudPlug\AC3Filt.dll

    AC3Filter - C:Program\AC3Filter\ac3filter.ax

    Is this all right?

Anyone got any idea why my all .ac3 changed to MPEG? The .ac3 files have right extension, .ac3 and I just dont know what I haven been doing to make this way?
Forgot to say, all .ac3 sounds plays fine with the AC3Filter, I do get ac3 sounds from the files.

What are you using to play your AC3 files?

Sounds like some associations in Windows have changed.

  3. I usually use Windows Media Player Classic with AC3Filter to play .ac3 sounds file or WinAmp 5 with valex AC3Filter too. Both can play the ac3 files fines, my reciever (using SPDIF output) do display its Dolby Digital sound, so no problem with the ac3 soundsfile. Windows Media Player 8 that mines a3 files are associated with now can't play the ac3 soundsfile at all and niether do wmplayer.

I only remember that ac3 files displayed as AC3 file in explorer "type" window and had a blue icon on ac3 files. But now I can't make it change back as it was before.

    Any idea?
