Vcd PLayback trouble?

Just wanna first say great program here.
anyway my problem is with vcd playback, I have burned vcds & svcd on one disc. they playback fine on my pc and xbox. But in my dvd player it's the vcd playback the image is cropped about an inch or 2 on the upper edge and also on the lower edge when playing the vcd there's missing stuff like heads, feet...you can only see "the center" of what would be the full picture. I have been using svcd2dvd to author the dvd folders, I'm
thinking it has to do with the hor rez patch value and been trying to search about it but damn I'm getting a headache lol, and would appreciate if someone could either point me in the right direction or give a few tips to help. anyway thanks in advance for any help
