    Ok I searched the mac forums, 5000 posts are just to many to go thru. Want to convert DVD to either SVCD or VCD. The tools I have are:
    DVD2One, 0SEx 0.0110a1, MPEG2 Works, DVDBackup, QuickTime Pro. Thanks Wayne.

    you might want to check out ffmpegX, or go down to there little forum near the bottom of the forums. Its a program for mac that does what you want. Ive never tried it, but could should head down there and check it out

    You Have all the tools you need. Use OSeX to rip the DVD into either a single vob or elementary streams. Then use MPEG2Works to create svcd/vcd compliant mpegs. In the latest MPEG2Works select the DVD/SVCD tab. Press the NTSC tab and select the NTSC SVCD option. Navigate to your file and let it run. You can use GNU VCDTools to author the .bin/cue files to burn as data in toast.
