Well i'm pissed, I ordered a Motherboard/CPU combo online, got it today and installed it only to find the CPU is a Thoroughbred-B and not the Barton I was expecting. Does anyone here with experience you what I can do? The site I ordered it off of never stated what Core it was other than it is 333FSB. Being sort of new to Atholon XP's I thought that meant it was a Barton. Since the site fails to explain the exact specs of the CPU's they sell do you think they would accept an exchange if I call them on it? Also, is there a big performance increase from 256k L2 cache to 512k?
Thanks

The difference with the extra cache is basicly the difference between model ratings of similarly clocked AMD CPUs.
HERE
Notice only a few of them are BARTON cores.
2500/2800/3000/3200
For media/pro-intel applications bartons actually arn't as good as the thoroughbreds. But normal/games/buisness/server/workstation applications love Cache.
