HP DVD Writer DVD300i will this do the job???

just got this for christmas..was wondering if anyone had first hand knowledge of this burner and what it can and cant do..dvd+, dvd-, ps2 backups, dvd backups stuff like that


any info any of you got out there would be cool!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have one.
It is basically a NEC1100, writes +R @ 4x & +RW @ 2.4x as well as CDR & CDRW. a good solid drive, but nothing spectacular. With the right software it can do anything most other writers can do except maybe correct EMF encoding.

m very new to this..i wanted a dvd burner to backup my PS2 games and backup my growing DVD collection....i wanted to do both...but i heard that some burners will only do one or the other.....this burner is + so i just want to know how good a burner it was..it gets a 8.1/ 10 and vcdhelp.com...so i thought to come here and ask......

if this+ doent doesnt do one or the other its going back...but if it will do both dvd and the games i will just stick with it...any reviews on how it burns dvd and PS2????
