  1. This might sound stupid, but I have to ask. I just placed an order for an ABIT NF7-S hopeing that it will be the latest 2.0 Rev. The merchant didnt tell me till after I made the transaction that they could not guarantee it would be Rev. 2.0. If it turns out to be an older model what can I do?

    Thanks

Usually a reviion is a new BIOS after they have shaken out some of the bugs.

Flashing the BIOS will get you there. Checkwhen you get it. We never fail to upgrade firmware. BIOS is firmware, why not check periodically?

Actually revisions are quite common and are NOT just firmware updates. For example one revision of board may be firmware upgraded to say take a new processor, while on the original revision it cannot be done. If the board is revisions then something was physicly changed about it reguardless of if its a chip that the eye can't tell or something more major.

how to tell? No earthly clue, you just kinda have to buy and hope I guess. I suggest getting it from somewhere major that sells alot of them, that should help make sure you get the latest. I usually purchase computer stuff from Newegg.com.
