You need to install codecs which enable you to view and hear your files. Gspot will test your files and tell you if you have the required codecs. Download and install them as needed. You'll find links in the Tools section or just Google if you need one.

yea i tried that GSpot program.....but it just closes everytime with an error that says it crashed while trying to find the codecs installed.........

i play these movies with both windows media player and real one player....and they both give me the same errors......so I'm assuming it's just the codecs that I need for everything to piece together?

Codecs seem to be only part of the problem. Lacking codecs should not not make GSpot crash. Go ahead and load your codecs from the Tools section at left, and go from there.

WE ARE TRYING TO TELL YOU!!!

Go to the Tools section at left, find the DivX codecs, not the friggin' Ffdshow program, you somehow found, install the codecs on your system and see if it runs your DivX videos.
