  1. Greetings Everyone!
Wondering if I can do following. I have made a dvd recorded on Panasonic DVR-E80 stand alone recorder. I'm not really crazy about the generic 9 meuns I can choose from.
Would I be able to take the finalized dvd created by it and place in mac and maybe take the largest vob file and copy it, and without demuxing and converting into something dvdsp or imovie can edit?

I've tried various programs suggested here on boards to edit with dvdsp or imovie to no success, and have real big issues with syncing the audio and video. I'm not looking to do any editing of video, just take the episodes from dvd.

I'm just looking for an easy way maybe to make a nice dvd menu to point to the video files(episodes) made by panasonic. I have like 3 or 4 episodes of tv shows on a finalized panasonic made dvd. I want to be able to use maybe dvdbackup or dvdonex to take just the audio and video and have another program to create the menu for the 3 or 4 shows.
Am I correct, in stating that the video file is usually the largest vob file?

Hopefully, this makes sense and someone can help me.

nope, you want those vob files to work on a dvd you will need to either import them into sizzle, or demux them and import into dvd studio pro.. i cant undersatnd if you demux and import into dvd studio pro what possible way you could get sync issues with it.. its not a hard process. rip the vobs, demux, import. i cant really see where anything could go wrong. but no what you are trying to do is not possible, once u take out part of the dvd those vobs are expecting the exact structure they were originally in, they only way to get them working on another dvd is to use an authoring program such as sizzle or dvd studio pro. dont try to mess with those files in imovie or idvd cuz thas just the worst method possible to try and work w/ vob files.. neither program supports them. unless u are working with dv idvd is TOTALLY worthless.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.
