  1. As we all know, garbage in - garbage out.

I want to cfreate a (S)VCD using some RM files. They re encoded as:

    351 Kbps -

    Real Audio - 64 Kbps
    Real Video - 287 Kbps - 25 fps

I would like the best quality mpg to put on my (s)vcd.

Question: At conversion, will the bitrate over 350 matter? VCD converts at 1150, SVCD at 2250. But will it matter? GI - GO!? And my audio at 64 is also ok, right?

    Thx!

MP2 audio @64 KB/s is gonna be pretty crappy.

VCD @350 Kb/s is lousy and SVCD even worse. The bitrates aren't directly comparable and higher resolution needs a higher rate

Yea, it is lousy....they are off the internet...so DOES IT MATTER if I use a higher bitrate when creating the mpg?

You will have to use a higher bitrate for your mpegs just to keep the quality that you have and not make it any worse. How high is for you to decide.

  5. Thx! I guess thats what I wanted to know. Even if I take these crappy RM to mpeg, I want a high bitrate cause that MAY improve the quality.
