Converting DVD-R to DVD-RAM format

Not sure if this is exactly the right board to post this on, but I've done several forum searches, and it seems that everyone needs to convert DVD-RAM recordings to DVD-R. My need is the opposite.

I have a homemade DVD-R that I need to convert to DVD-RAM to be readable on a Panasonic Standalone Recorder. I have both PC Burners and a Panasonic E80H recorder, but my friend only has a Panny Recorder. I have a Panasonic DVD-Multi burner, so burning to DVD-RAM is not a problem.

The reason I need it in DVD-RAM format is so he can make copies of it using his Panny. He doesn't have a burner, although I've tried to tell him this would be the easiest option for making copies. Since the DVD-R I'm trying to convert required extensive editing, it was created on PC, not recorded originally on my Panny. If it had, I could have simply dubbed to DVD-RAM and that would have been the end of the story.

I simply need to rip the DVD-R, then convert the resulting vob or mpg files to the Video Recording file structure, I just don't know which software can do this. Your help is appreciated.

It worked! Thanks again Jobedo1. The only difficulty is that MtvMAGen is in Japanese, but it's easy enough to figure out.

Those of you who have both PC burning equipment and a standalone might want to check out this little trick.

can anyone help with getting the progran DVDmoviealbum. I already have a LG DVD writer that does RAM so do not want to buy A panny writer just to get the software

I did a google search for MTVmagen and managed to download from a Japanese sight but all info is in Japanese haven't had a chance to try and use it yet. As for DVDMoviealbum I reckon that the only way to get a copy other than by buying a retail Panasonic writer is to hope that a friendly forum reader may offer to let me have a copy
