I use DVD Decrypter to rip my 4:3 Family Guys DVDs. I use GKnot to calculate the bitrate I need to get my Family Guy DVD episodes to DivX. I use FlaskMPEG to do the conversions (allows me to choose the individual episodes as opposed to chosing the longest title) and use the HQ Bicubic resizer to resize by DivX files from anywhere from 544X400 to 400X288. I encode with a bit/pixel rating of .25 or higer, but for some reason, I get a lot of nasty noise. It's very simple animation so I want you suggestions. I do a single pass encode and I do not use Psychovisual Enhancements and use the Home Theater Profile (DivX 5.05). Any suggestions for what apps/codec settings you use for encoding simple animation (and maintaining high quality). I'm quite open to all suggestions. My goal is to fit 4 episodes per 700 MB CD at highest possible quality (about 22.5 minutes per episode)
