What is the best program to use to copy movies to the hard drive? And what is the best program to use to resize movies. I currently use DVD Shrink103 & Pinnacle Instant copy, but i notice that the movies don't always read in my DVD player(s). Does it have something to do with NTFS or PAL? Please help me i'm new at this.............
Thankx much![]()

NTSC is the North America/Japan video standard.
PAL is the "Everywhere But North America/Japan" video standard.
NTFS is one way of formatting the hard drive in your computer.
Having said that....first get the make and model number of your DVD Player and go here:
https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers
to see if your DVD player is listed as being able to play "home grown" DVD's in the first place before worrying yourself about NTSC and PAL.. -

Have you tried using different media brands? Try Fuji or TDK.
According to a study conducted by OSTA, media quality is the biggest culprit. But the good news is they are working to help eliminate (or at least minimize) media incompatibility.
"Our findings indicate that the most critical factor in all DVD disc and drive compatibility tests is the quality of media, not the format or brand of drive. When high-quality DVD recordable discs are used, the compatibility rate surges to over 95 percent. OSTA will continue to work with the DVDA and NIST to help manufacturers achieve 100 percent compatibility. In the meantime, we recommend that consumers purchase high-quality DVD media to avoid potential incompatibility problems."
