yENC?

i have an mpeg video file that seems to be in yEnc? format judging by how it was named. My windows media player seems to recognize it as a video and play it, but first trys to download a codec, resulting in > error, cant download codec.

The file still plays, which is fine.. but i would like to convert it to avi and virtual dub doesnt recognize it.

i tried yEnc encoder, and it wont work either

any ideas

unlikely it is a movie. what does gspot say about it ?

yenc is one of the more evil compression formats used for posting to newsgroups. you need to decode it, like unpacking a zip file.
