Does the New Pioneer DV-444 support SVCD subtitles?

I know Pioeer have had some problems in prior models with displaying SVCD subtitles, question is does this model have the same problem?

I don't know that, but I bought a pioneer dv-444 yerterday and I will return it to the store today, because it is not able to play 2450 kbit/s VCD that my old Sony dvp 315 plays perfectly.

Non of the Pioneer can play subs.

Well I don´t know, but according to the vcdhelp list, quite a few Pioneer players are able to do subs.

I own pioneer 434 and it DOES NOT do subtitles even though vcdhelp database says it does.
