    power calibration error on a LDW 401S(Liteon)

    It means it doesn't know what to do with your disk, how hot to set the laser to. Happens with cheap disks. Can happen with New drives and old sofware.

    What media are you using (and are they real or fakes, what's the disk ID say?). What burning app gave that message (app/version).

    had this on a sony sru510a all i did was upgrade firmware then had no problem burning

    i also have the Liteon 401s and am trying to burn DVDs but im getting Power calibration error. it was ok at first, but after about 20 dvds, 2 in every 3 are failing??? anyone have a solution??...sasarchiver
