  1. When i play a DVD-R movie (Converted DivX) on a plus or minus disc (+/-) the movie on some place freeze and jumps 1 or 2 minute in time. If i am lucky the movie(not the same one) just runs very unstable (freezes 1/10 of a second) and runs again but does this 10 or 15 times on the movie. The same movies runs perfectly on the computers DVD and the burner that made the disc. Some bought DVD-movies(2 so far) do the same thing, jumps in time. Even a DVD-backup copy does the same thing.
Is there a bug in the Samsung M205? Or is it just a bad DVD-player?
I have tried diffrent Brands of both + and - format with same result. Soon i will throw this one out for a real DVD-player.
    Plz help.

    Could be a media problem.

Have you been able to try them in a different player ?

Can you advise the steps and programs you are using to get from avi to dvd.

    What format is the avi - 23 / 25 / 29 fps ?

also ensure there are no background applications running which may cause problems during the conversion process.

I have converted a few avi files to mpg2 using avi2svcd and Main Concept.

I generally author to dvd using tmpgenc dvd author - free 30 day trial

  5. Ok, Video: TMPEnc Plus The avi are of all the three fps. Settings:2 pass VBR DVD PAL Quality, 16:9 display. Motions serched precision: High quality(slow).
Audio: Ripping wavs with Virtualdub, converting with besweet and converted to 5.1 DD or DTS. Then i use TMPenc DVD Authour to produce DVD. Burning with Nero 6.3 at 2x on 4x discs. If it fits i sometimes burn with TMPenc.
I donīt like DVD2SVCD because i want to make the DD or DTS sound and i am not to good friend with CCE (crash) witch is a part of the DVD2SVCD procedure.
Even when i made a 1:1 copy of a good (play without freezing and jumping) DVD-disc i own i get the freeze when i made a rip on a DVD+/-R disc.
If the DVD-disc runs perfectly on the computers DVD then it must be the standalone DVD-player and not the conversion that is faulty. Is tha a right or wrong conclusion? Or is there a big diffrence in the computer DVD and the stadalone DVD so it canīt be compared this way?
