SONY NS 400 SVCD/XVCD ????

Hi there,

i have just a simple question:

In the DVD-Player compatiblity list it says that SONY NS 400 is able to play SVCD´s and XVCD´s.
But if you read in the comments for this player someone says SONY NS 400 doesn´t play SVCD´s at all. I tried to play a SVCD in my player but i doesn´t worked.
Do i have to make special configurations?
And does he play XVCD´s ??
