  1. Help me out here someone please. I worked as a computer technician for 2 years i have done every thing u can think of. I bought a 16x toshiba dvd rom. i am running a p4 1.4ghz. my dvd runs at about 5-6x while watching a movie which is normal speed for that sort of thing. But when i try to rip a dvd to my hard drive using such things as dvdx, or smart ripper ...etc it only does 1-1.5 speed. i have tried everything from DMA. to replacing my dvd rom drive. can anyone help me out

  2. Woah, it should only be running at 1x while watching a dvd!

  3. Have you by chance tried installing a DMA IDE cable? I had similar until I upgraded. Else, I dont have a clue.
