    does anyone know how to extract the subtitle within a dvd IFO file?
    i try using subrip subvob.. no help at all..

    so that i can merge it with a .avs using Gordian Knot...

    Subs are not in the IFO - it's muxed in the VOB. To add perm subs with the subtitler filter and avisynth, it has to be converted to some text format using SubRip.
