SVCD ---> DVD

Hmm, I always thought that a SVCD just was some DATA in some maps...

I dont know if I'm wrong, I'm asking u
coz my problem is: I've downloaded The League of the Extraordinairy Gentlemen SVCD (2 CD's)

And I want add subs, but if I dont want to lose toooo much quality, the re-encoded cd1 is 1,12 gb

So I thought, if a cd is 700 mb, why can't I burn cd1 and cd2 of TLotEG on 1 DVD (4,7 gb), coz it's just data... is this possible and how?
